Depression is a serious mental illness that can interfere with a person’s life. It can cause long-lasting and severe feelings of sadness and hopelessness, as well as a loss of interest in activities. What most people don’t understand is that depression is much more than having a bad day or an off week. It’s a mood disorder that causes constant feelings of low self-esteem, disinterest, and emptiness. Depression can affect you mentally, physically, and socially which most people don’t have a good understanding of what it feels like.
